40th Annual Caersws Vintage Rally

It’s going to be a hot one Sue says as we load the van with all kinds of gear along with plenty of water, suncream and hats.

As we travel towards Caersws, the sun glimmers through the trees and glistens on the canal as we head out towards Newtown and the fresh smell of an early summer fills the van.

We arrive at the MWVMC vintage rally and already the car park is pretty full. We park up and get the drone out to capture people arriving then I’m blown away at just how big this event has become looking down from 80mtrs up – it’s massive.

After a couple of flyovers, we head to the commentary box to find Toby – hey old bean, how are you doing and where is your new baby arrival, Elliott!? At home, it’s a bit too hot but he may venture out later. Is it busy out there Toby asks, I can’t really tell from here – busy, it’s mega Toby, I reply!

Toby gives us an overview of the day and points us to the volunteer hospitality tent! Wow, everything is laid on. We pop over, grab a cold drink and put on some hi-vis jackets.
