A real pleasure to be invited back to Welshpool Town Council to capture the councillors at their best for this photoshoot. Assignment was to photograph 15 councillor head shots and one group photo in the chamber that will become part of their wall of fame gallery display - oh, and you've got half an hour to do it because the councillors will be starting their meeting at 18:30!
As the headshots are for a website, that was not too bad, 3 different compositions to suit the webmasters gallery, so out come the speed lights, soft boxes, background stands and stool and away we go, councillors all lined up and waiting for their call. Next, the group photo in the council chambers, 2x 250w studio flash lights, light meter, a couple of quick test shots and all done although I must admit, the shoot required a 24mm prime, that just about captured all the councillors and with not much space behind me, I may need to research a wider lens - with no barrel distortion - I wonder if I could stretch to a tilt and shift lens!! :)
