​Leanne at Aubrey Kirkham invited me over to their office at Four Crosses to record a small snippet of some of the preparations that go into the services provided by Aubrey Kirkham Funeral Directors.

Leanne and all the staff at Aubrey Kirkham were very accommodating and keen to explore various possibilities that would reflect the services they provide. The only downside was running out of time - but I think we will be doing this again very soon to capture more of the kindness and love that this family offers to families during those difficult times 

Many thanks to all at Aubrey Kirkham with their help on the day of the shoot and many thanks to Josh (pictured above) who prepared the hearses and stepped in for Aubrey who could not make it on the day.

Funeral Services are a unique photographic discipline. A keen eye is required to sensitively capture special moments while observing the emotions and feelings of families, friends and relatives in a respectful manner. 

All the funeral directors I’ve worked for are amazing people, from the grave diggers, to the coffin bearers, office staff to the directors, even through engaging as a photographer, you can see the absolute dedication and respect they have for their families and kindness - first hand.
