Photography
Our photography work covers a wide range of styles, and our
gear is made up of equipment suitable for various assignments.
We use 2 Sony camera’s, A99 & A99MkII, both full frame
and mostly prime lenses from the Sony CZ & Sigma Art range. We have various
speedlights, sliders, portable flash studio lights, backdrops, as well as continuous
lights as required for model shoots and video work such as lighting up small
stages. We even have a rather nice stool provided for those portrait shoots!
We use a range of backdrops, for example, ballet, official
corporate portraits, Christmas themes for schools and even baby cake smash
shoots which seems to be becoming increasingly popular now!
We also make use of Drone's on request, are fully insured and registered with the CAA.
Videography
For video work we use Sony *PXW-Z200 and the Z90V that
incorporates 4K shooting, are broadcast compatible, internet live streaming,
*AI-powered Subject Recognition AF to ensure crisp videos, a range of colour
profiles as well as high end audio codecs.
Sony’s high-end ZEISS and class G fixed lenses offer the
best of both worlds in terms of optical perfection and portability.
We film mostly in Sony S-Cinetone and export to Rec709. If high quality audio is required we export as .mov. We can use a number of options to suit your needs for post production or we can do this for you including colour grading.
We also use GoPro’s to complement our video work and place
these to add to the overall video experience where a larger camera would be
difficult to use.
Sound / Audio
We use the Zoom F8n Pro mic mixer which has a wide dynamic
range and low noise floor. We did in fact get a bit geeky when choosing this
mixer. Having a background in electronic engineering, (please see www.g17.co.uk for more information), I really
wanted to make sure that during a recording there is enough dynamic range to
capture the lows and peaks with no clipping and full frequency range and not compromise detail. I also needed to ensure that each channel was defined, clear and crisp from each
other and when there was no audio you hear – no audio, no noise – nothing, so
we made the choice of mixer based on its component architecture.
The F8n Pro uses high end A/D AK5388 converters, and AK4359
D/A along with equally high end THAT1583 OP-AMPs, a perfect combination of
electronics packaged neatly into a portable device with multiple recording
options, easy controls and beautiful LCD panel.
Our microphones are a mixture of high-end RHODE and sE mics,
including matched pairs to capture every detail in whatever combination is
required for the job, from kick drums to spoken word, low noise and a wide
frequency range ensure a perfectly matched setup with the F8n.
Portable audio perfection to complement high end video and

Hello, my name is Adam Cusack, a photographer based in Montgomery Mid Wales. I've been doing photography for over 15 years and cover all aspect of the photographic genre, from weddings, commercial, dance, live music, still life, modelling and much more.
I started out like many with film, my first camera being a Pentax ME Super then moved over to Minolta.
Minolta cameras were taken over by Sony in the 90's and as my Minolta lenses fitted the Sony camera's I stayed faithful to the brand.
I still use my Minolta film camera, mostly to keep in touch with the basic principles of the technology where with new digital camera's this can all too often be hidden from the user.
But, photography is not all about the hardware, in fact, for that matter, the brand name does not really matter too much, its the person behind the camera that makes all of the difference and this is where attention to detail, composition and an eye for an image comes into play.
