Video & Audio Recording in the wild...
Each year in Montgomery a Hungarian Friendship Day is held to celebrate the close bonds between Montgomery and Hungary.
This close bond had come about through a poem written by Hungarian poet János Arany in 1857 and through initiatives between Montgomery Town Council, Claire Weston, Elizabeth Sillo and the Welsh Hungarian Cultural Association, the Montgomery Hungarian Friendship Day was born.
For this years celebration I was asked if I would photograph the event. As a side thought, I suggested we could also video the day so that it could be looked back on and shared internationally as a record of the events around Montgomery.
As we did not really want to bring in big recording gear, I suggested a small video camera connected to a pro-audio mic to capture the best in sound quality with the camera being able to be small enough not to be noticed but also be able to record high quality video suitable for playback on various social media platforms.
