Oh my – what a beautiful place to get married! Dan and Scarlet's wedding day has come!
After an exciting pre-wedding shoot back in May, (all but for a flat tyre on the way!) and lots of email exchanges, the big day is finally upon us.
With so many activities planned as well as the marriage itself, it was going to be a challenge to be in all places at the same time to ensure the day was perfectly captured – but with the help of my second shooter and people arranger extraordinaire wife Sue, it’s going to be a walk in the park – and what a lovely park it is as well!
Cheshire Woodland Weddings is the perfect venue for any happy couple, with so many things to do and everything perfectly organised by the wedding coordinators even for a struggling photographer to try and keep ahead of the game to get the right shot at the right time for the right moment, the coordinator was amazing at keeping us informed.
So, the day started out with sunshine and rain – mostly rain but luckily, the sun tried very hard to shine down on us. With Scarlet and Dan staying in separate accommodations – also amazing, it was easy to pop over to see them both and bridesmaids, brides’ man, best man, parents etc.
To my mind though, Dan looked very relaxed about the whole thing. At this time of day, I’ve seen the groom – drink, fidget, go over speech lines, pace up and down, look worryingly out of windows, check rings, look out of windows – check rings again etc but not with Dan, he’s just sat comfortably on the settee in shorts watching the Olympics!
With everyone simultaneously getting ready and so close to each other, capturing those special moments was not so hard but we needed to keep an eye on things. As the morning progressed Dan was busy organising cars to ferry people between accommodations and venue, making sure those special socks and button holes were handed out to the right people and a whole host of other things plus the odd sip of Champagne every now and again.
We wave Dan off in his red Mustang then see the Bride and bridal party head off to the venue. With everyone at the venue on time the ceremony can start. At Cheshire Woodland Weddings the rings are going to be delivered by an Owl. So we set cameras and video up in the appropriate places to capture the Owl delivering the rings and all goes to plan.
With Scarlet and Dan now happily married the activities are open to all to enjoy and as the event progresses, we manage to grab a busy Mr & Mrs Noble for some woodland pictures along with the bridesmaids......
